3 Teammates Roll 300 In Same Game

It was another week of perfection plus a couple of 800 series within Tampa bowling circles last week.

Seven 300s, with six of them highlighted by three perfectos in the same team game at Brandon Crossroads Bowl, were accomplished.

And while Pin Chasers Veterans witnessed the seventh 300, it was also 800 plus time.

In the BCB Wednesday Mens League, the BCB Coaching team posted a 1,353 second game as Andrew Shultz, Tom Donlay and Gerald Turner recorded 300s, Hector Garcia 244 and team captain Ref Ramhoff a 209. That's an average of 270.6 per bowler.

Also at BCB, Joe Brannon and Ken Cook were perfect in the Tuesday JJ Jammers Mixed League with Cook using his 300 to roll an 834 series. And Mike Shoop had 300 the week before in the BCB Men's League.

At Pin Chasers Veterans, Nate Heicelbeck went 269-287-258 - 814 in the Hits and Missers Mixed League; Donnie Tarbutton rolled 246-300-182 - 728 in the Keglers Men's League and Mark Bailey had 247-241-298 - 786 in the Four Aces League.

OAKFIELD LANES: Bobby Farr came within six pins of an 800 series with a 279-794 to lead the men, while Nancy Jones led the women with 254-689.

Farr also rolled 279-720, Rob Mitchell had 269-709, John Miller 268-705, Wesley Prochaska 269 and Rob Minx 268.

Following Jones for the women were Kim Grund 226-592, Barbara Martin 233-590, Stephanie Talley 245, Carmen Rodriguez 225 and Mary Cook 223. And in the Wednesday Matinee Seniors League, Tom Labozzetta picked up a 7-10 split.

AMF UNIVERSITY. Darin Hays and Anthony Carinci led the men with 289-705 and 252-724, respectively, while Cassie Soderstrom was high for the women with 240-658.

Other good scores for the men were Ray Snell 277, Matt McBride 246-690, Brian More 266-684 and Roger Baker 259-665. Shaina Schwartz followed Soderstrom with 219-642, while Selena Santena had 221-616, Lynn Helsel 202-593 and Stephanie Talley 219.

FLORIDA LANES. Cliff Welton and Derrick Lyons were the pacesetters for the men with identical 752 series, while Ammy Sallot led the women with series of 236-617 and 230-615 last week.

Other good scores for the men were Jeff Waddell 289-727, Walter Dickey 726, Richard Wilt 717, Hal Berry 287-705, Darren Walker 702, Troy Thomas 686, Greg Strum 275, Eddie Kessel 269, Amado Candelario 262 and Scott Stanton 262.

Terry Broyles followed Sallot for the women with 562, while Diane Carter had 199-556, Karen Arrington 223, Tiffany Makowski 196-520, Pat Mobley 193-509, Adora Rileria 192-502, Teresa Shaw 201 and Sonia Gonzalez 198.

PIN POINTS. Dave DeWitt's 257 and Bill Helsel Sr.'s 688 paced the men, while Betty Lewis' 188 and Pam Stewart's 539 led the women in the Pinarama Lanes Base Exchange League. Also for the men, John Szekely went 227-651, DeWitt 640 and Ray Sipple 634. Karen Paramore followed Stewart for the women with 502.
