Thursday

'All Shook Up'

Riverview and Spoto high Schools, with Bloomingdale and Newsome high schools, will present a musical performance of 'All Shook Up' by Joe DiPietro with the songs of Elvis Presley. The performance is directed by Daron Hawkins, Lindsay Warfield and Bev Sutherland and stars Angel Chiclana, Lorena Lopez, Gabrielle Stuart-Davis, Gabe Hernandez, Angelica Corbett, Rodney Bueno, Sarah Berland, Conrad Weaver, Lauren Dow and Nick Giuliani. The production opens Thursday at the Riverview High auditorium, 11311 Boyette Road and runs through Saturday. The show will run again Oct. 11. The last show will be Oct. 13 at Spoto High, 8538 Eagle Palm Drive, Riverview. Showtime for all performances is 7:30 p.m. General admission is $8, $6 for students and seniors age 55 and older. Fashion With A Cause

The American Cancer Society will host its 2007 Fashion Show at 10 a.m. Saturday at the FishHawk Ranch Palmetto Club, and a silent auction will follow the fashion show modeled by local breast cancer survivors. Horse Jumpers Compete

The Central Florida Hunter/Jumper Association Show will feature the Marshall & Sterling Hunter Classics and Marshall & Sterling Child and Adult Jumper Classics at the Florida State Fairgrounds Bob Thomas Equestrian Center. The event will start at 8 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Admission and parking are free. Visitors are asked to enter the fairgrounds via the Orient Road entrance. Head To The Market

The Brandon Fresh Market will open its booths from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays beginning this week at Winthrop Town Centre, at Providence Road and Bloomingdale Avenue in Riverview. Fresh produce, gourmet foods and arts and crafts from local artisans will be for sale. Baked goods will include breads, muffins and pies. Dance the Night Away

Art and Bernice May are certified ballroom instructors, and they are ready to teach you a few basic dance steps at the Summerfield Community Center in Riverview. The rumba, cha cha, fox trot, waltz, salsa and swing are some of the dances being offered. Ballroom dancing is held from 6:45-7:45 p.m. Fridays starting this week. Rhythm and dance classes are offered 8-9 p.m. the same day. Cost is $8 for Summerfield residents and $10 for guests. Summerfield Community Center is at 13011 Summerfield Blvd., Riverview.
