Tom And Huck Go Fishing
Center Place Fine Arts and Civic Association will feature Mark Twain's classic 'The Adventures of Tom Sawyer,' a story about a boy growing up in a town along the banks of the Mississippi River. This combination of adventure, humor and nostalgia will be presented at 11:45 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday and 7 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Center Place Children's Theater, 619 Vonderburg Drive, Brandon. Tickets are $5 for members and $6 for children and adults ages 2 and older. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Call (813) 685-8888 for information and reservations.

A Taste Of The King At Spoto High
Riverview, Spoto, Bloomingdale and Newsome high schools will present a musical performance of 'All Shook Up' by Joe DiPietro with the songs of Elvis Presley at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Spoto High, 8538 Eagle Palm Drive, Riverview. The performance is directed by Daron Hawkins, Lindsay Warfield and Bev Sutherland and stars Angel Chiclana, Lorena Lopez, Gabrielle Stuart-Davis, Gabe Hernandez, Angelica Corbett, Rodney Bueno, Sarah Berland, Conrad Weaver, Lauren Dow and Nick Giuliani. Admission is $8 for general admission, $6 for students and seniors age 55 and older. Tickets will be available at the door. Smokin' Hot Rods
The Mustang Club of Tampa, Bill Currie Ford and the Museum of Science & Industry will host the 26th annual Mustang, Shelby and Ford Roundup from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at MOSI, 4801 E. Fowler Avenue, across from the University of South Florida Sun Dome in Tampa. More than 200 vehicles will be on display. Participants will receive awards for best in show at 3:30 p.m. Everyone interested in Ford vehicles is invited, and there is no charge for guests not displaying cars. Three Days Of Family Fun
Resurrection Catholic Church at 6819 Krycul Ave., Riverview, will host its fourth annual three-day block party from 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturdayand noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. The event will feature more than 50 artisans, music, a business expo, games, midway rides, pony rides, clowns, food and bingo. There also will be drawings and prizes. Wristbands are available for unlimited use of the midway rides. The Island Bruddas, Rico Sabor, Los Amigos, Jazz Tick and On-The-Side will provide entertainment. The Tampa Tribune is among sponsors. Open Season At Brandon Fresh Market
The Brandon Fresh Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays through winter and spring at Winthrop Town Centre at Providence Road and Bloomingdale Avenue in Riverview. So You Think You Can't Dance?
Art and Bernice May are certified ballroom instructors, and they are ready to teach you a few basic dance steps at the Summerfield Community Center in Riverview. The rumba, cha cha, fox trot, waltz, salsa and swing are some of the dances being offered. Ballroom dancing is held from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. Fridays. Rhythm and dance classes are offered from 8 to 9 p.m. the same day. Cost is $8 for Summerfield residents and $10 for guests. Summerfield Community Center is at 13011 Summerfield Blvd., Riverview. Open Mic Night At Music Showcase
Friday Night Open Mic at Music Showcase gives intermediate and advanced music students a chance to perform with a live band from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. the first and third Friday monthly. Anyone interested in performing should call to get a preselected song list and put their name on the list of performers. Cost is $5 in advance or $6 at the door.
