Contest Scares Up Some Money For Charity

Green Boutique and Plaza Bella owners Roz and Mark Creager organized 'Scare The Crow' Oct. 13 at the plaza off Bloomingdale Avenue, inviting community organizations to design scarecrows to be auctioned off for charity. The entries ranged from amusing to elaborate. One overall winner was chosen, and three won honors in the brainiest, trendiest and most creative categories. Brandon News & Tribune columnist Derek Maul helped judge and photographed winning entries.
