Cowabunga! 'TMNT' For Just A Buck
AMC Entertainment will offer $1 tickets for a showing of the feature film "TMNT."

The full-length animated film is about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael and Donatello. Gifted in the martial arts, together they courageously attempt to end a mysterious evil that threatens the world.

The showing is the last in the Summer Movie Camp series at AMC Regency 20, 2496 E. Brandon Blvd., Brandon. Doors open at 9 a.m., and the show begins at 10 a.m.

The movie is rated PG. Proceeds will benefit AMC charitable partners, including the Children's Charity and Will Rogers Institute. Call (813) 243-4955 for information and tickets.

Summer Concerts Under The Stars

FishHawk Ranch will host Crystal Blue, a four-piece band featuring four lead vocalists with distinctive styles.

The concert is part of the community's annual Summer Concert Series at Park Square in the Garden District, 16144 Churchview Drive, Lithia. The concerts begin at 7 p.m. every Friday through August. Bring a blanket or chair.

Everyone Gets Caught In The Act

The Village Players will present Michael Frayne's comedy "Noises Off" at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Aug. 15 and 16 at the James McCabe Theater, 506 Fifth St., Valrico.

The plot follows an inept theatrical group trying to put on a racy show called "Nothing On," but the cast's personal and backstage bumbling and bungling threaten to ruin it.

Tickets are $12 per person and will be available 30 minutes before showtimes. Proceeds will benefit restoration of the McCabe Theater, which was built circa 1915.

An Evening Of Music And Dinner

The multi-talented duo Lew Resseguie and Ellen Kleinschmidt will take the audience down memory lane as they perform some of their favorite show tunes from Broadway and Tin Pan Alley Aug. 16 at Center Place Fine Arts and Civic Association, 619 Vonderburg Drive, Brandon.

The event will start with a social at 6:30 p.m. Dinner starts at 7 p.m., and performance begins 8 p.m. Tickets are $35 per person, nonrefundable and must be purchased in advance. Call Center Place at (813) 685-8888.

Club Hosts Show With Coins, Currency, Stamps

The nonprofit Brandon Coin Club will host its annual coin, currency and stamp show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Brandon Elks Lodge, 800 Centennial Lodge Drive, Brandon.

Visitors can have coins and stamps appraised free.

Children 12 and younger will receive free grab bags filled with coins. The "Hobo nickel man" will make etchings on nickels to give children.

Cost for tables starts at $60 for an 8-foot table with back-up for qualified dealers.

School Supply Drive To Benefit ECHO

The Pottery Patch, a pottery painting studio in Valrico, is sponsoring its annual School Supply Drive to benefit the Emergency Care Help Organization in Brandon, which helps families in crisis.

Supplies needed include pencils, paper, binders, crayons, backpacks and shoes for children. Bring donations to The Pottery Patch, 2551 State Road 60, Valrico, through Aug. 30. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; and 12:30 to 5 p.m. Sundays. The Pottery Patch is closed Mondays.
