They're going baaaaaaack!

That's right parents, its back-to-school time and that means it's time to take some photos of your kids as they head out the door that first day of school.

Whether they're excited about their senior year or shedding tears over the first day of kindergarten, capture those moments on camera and enter your photos in The Brandon News & Tribune's Back-To-School Photo Contest.

Brandon.tbo.com is offering four (4) one-day tickets to the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa to the grand-prize winner in our Back-To-School Photo Contest. One runner-up will receive (4) tickets to Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo.

The photos must be taken in Hillsborough County and have a back-to-school theme. You may submit up to a total of five (5) photos per person, but there is a limit of one prize per household. The contest begins Aug. 18th at noon and ends Sept 2 at midnight. TBO staff will judge the contest.

Go to brandon.tbo.com, enter keyword SCHOOL PICS and upload your photos by following the instructions to Snap online photo gallery, or send your photo via email to kbrady@tbo.com.
The e-mail should include the photo and your name, address and phone number. You may also drop your photos off at the Brandon News & Tribune office at 505 W. Robertson St in Brandon. Please include your name, address and phone number along with your entry.

Entry Conditions: You must be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry and a U.S. resident. Contest may only be entered from the United States. This contest available only to those persons who are legal residents of either one of the 48 continental states of the United States or the District of Columbia, and may only be entered from one of those locations. This contest is void in Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico and/or where prohibited by law.
Employees of Sponsors, any affiliate of Sponsors, any of their advertising or promotional agencies, any Sponsors of any prize offered in this contest or any business or entity involved in the development, production, implementation, administration or fulfillment of this contest, and their immediate family members (meaning spouses, parents, siblings and children living in the same household) are not eligible to enter or win.

Entry Timeframe: Contest begins Aug. 18th, 2008 12:00 noon Eastern Time and ends Sept. 2, 2008, 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time.

All Entries must be of non objectionable content. Photo acceptance is the determination of the contest judges.
Photo Contest Submission Photo Categories (Back to school)
You may submit up to a total of 5 photos, but there is a limit of one prize per household. Each entry must be e-mailed separately. You must be the photographer of each photo(s) you submit. You will be notified via e-mail when your photo(s) have been posted on the site. Entries without all of the required information provided: name, email and cell phone number. Incomplete entries will be disqualified. All late, lost, or incomplete entries are not considered valid entries. Any form of entry, other than as specified in these rules (including but not limited to automated, copied, third-party or mechanically reproduced entries) is prohibited and they will be disqualified. All entries will be considered property of TBO.com and by entering, each contestant is releasing their rights to the images to TBO.com for them to use online and in marketing.

Prizes: One (1) Grand prize: Four (4) one day tickets to the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa. Runner-up prize: (4) tickets to Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo.
Sponsors reserve the right to substitute prize of equal or greater value. Taxes and any other expenses not listed above are responsibility of winners. Limit one prize per household. Allow 4-6 weeks after validation for receipt or arrangement of receipt of prize. You are not a contest winner until validated and you receive official notification from the judging organization.

Judging/Winner Selection: Winners will be selected by a panel of judges determined by Brandon.tbo.com management, and photos judged using the following criteria: creativity (25%) and originality of photo (25%); composition and arrangement of photo (25%) and relevancy to category topic (25%). Judging will be conducted between Sept 3 – Sept 7, 2008.

Prize Acceptance: Winner(s) must complete, and execute an affidavit confirming the winner's identification and eligibility, and winner will be required to complete, execute and return (if such requirement would not render this contest lawful) a Liability and Publicity Release. If such documents are not signed within fourteen (14) days of the date sent, or if any prize notification is returned as non-deliverable or any winner if found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these official rules, disqualification may result. If any winner is a minor under the laws of his/her state of residence, disqualification may result. Failure to sign and return these forms when requested may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner. In the event of a dispute as to identity of any online entrant, entrant will be deemed the individual named on the online entry form.
Acceptance of a prize will constitute permission to use winner's name, hometown, likeness, photograph, statements or prize information for advertising and publicity purposes worldwide without limitation and without additional compensation, except where prohibited. Sponsors, their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents will not be responsible for any and all liability for any injury, loss or damage of any kind to or of any person or property (including death of any person), arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize, participation in any contest related activity, or participation in this contest. This contest is void where prohibited or restricted. All submissions become property of Sponsors and will not be returned. No correspondence about submissions will be answered.
By entering, you grant permission to Sponsors and its agents and agencies the right to publish, use, adapt, edit and/or modify your entry photo(s) in any way, in any and all media worldwide, without limitation, and also constitutes your irrevocable assignment and transfer to Sponsors of all right, title and interest in the entry photo(s), including without limitation, all copyrights, without further consideration. By entering you warrant and represent that you are the photographer of the submitted photo(s) and that you have obtained all permission necessary for Sponsors to publish or use your photo(s) in any media worldwide, including but not limited to permission from all persons depicted in your photo(s) and from any holder of copyrights, trademarks or other rights in materials or other items depicted in your photo(s). By entering, you also agree that Sponsors may publish your name and entry photo(s) on Sponsor's website or in such other media or formats as Sponsors may elect without further compensation. By entering, you also agree to confirm any of the above in writing.

Validations: By taking part in this promotion, you agree to be bound by these rules and all decisions of the judges. Photo(s) must be taken by entrant. Photo(s) must be original, non-professional, and must not have been previously published or won any previous award, and must not contain any material that would infringe upon third party rights if used in advertising. Entries may be disqualified if photo(s) contain materials trademarked, copyrighted, used or submitted elsewhere, or any obscene, defamatory or other offensive or inappropriate material. Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any entries which Sponsors, at its sole discretion, determines to be inconsistent with its corporate standards, reputation or consumer expectations. No responsibility is assumed for lost, late, stolen
or misdirected mail or entries or any failure or unavailability of hardware, software, electronic communications or Internet uploading or other connections. If integrity of contest is compromised in any manner, Sponsors reserves the right to modify Contest and judge entries received that are unaffected by the problem.
Submissions void if incomplete, not legible, or if they contain errors or do not comply strictly with all requirements in these rules.
