Give Pets A Holiday Treat
Hillsborough County Animal Services and the Humane Society of Tampa Bay invite residents to bring a pet-friendly gift to place under the Animal Angel Tree today at Animal Services, 440 Falkenburg Road, Tampa.
The tree is decorated with hand-crafted ornaments made by local children and shelter volunteers. Many of the ornaments feature photos of pets from the animal shelter.
Residents who donate a gift may take an ornament as keepsake.
Suggested gifts include treats, toys, blankets, unbreakable meal bowls, pet shampoos, brushes, flea combs, kitty litter, crates and carriers. Christmas Eve hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All Weekend
Quarter Horse Circuit At State Fairgrounds
The 42nd Annual Florida Gold Coast Circuit will be held in the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U. S. 301. The seven-day event will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday.
Quarter horses, their owners, trainers and riders will compete in English, Western, Driving and Reining and Trail classes. Times will vary by day. Entry fees and stall rentals will apply for participants. Admission and parking is free for spectators. Visitors are asked to enter the fairgrounds at the Orient Road entrance. Country Folk Art Craft Show
Artisans from across the country will offer unique gifts and decorating items for sale at the Country Folk Art Craft Show in the Charles M. Davis Special Events Center at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U. S. 301 from 5 to 9 p.m. Jan. 2, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 3, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 4. Crafts include handcrafted furniture, home and garden decor, quilts, floral arrangements, framed art, ironwork, lamps, rugs, jewelry, wearable art, candles, gourmet foods and more.
Admission for ages 13 and up is $6 on Friday and $5 on Saturday and Sunday. Parking is $5 per car and $10 for RVs or buses.

Baseball Camp For Youngsters
Ostingers Baseball Academy will offer a Holiday Baseball Camp for ages 7 to 15 at the FishHawk Sports Complex, 1612 FishHawk Blvd., Lithia.
The camp, coached by professional baseball instructor Jim Osting, will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Dec. 31. The camp gives children the opportunity to understand baseball through instruction, drills and games.
