SEFFNER - Residents living near the proposed route for a high-voltage power line will gather at Quest Church Monday to share their views and concerns.
"We've broken the issue into three parts – environmental concerns, health and safety concerns and property values," said Susan Watson, who lives off Jess Waldon Road, within feet of where Tampa Electric proposes to run high-voltage lines, connecting power stations in Mulberry and Temple Terrace.
Watson's two main concerns revolve around her son, who has a seizure disorder, and an active eagle's nest that sits in sight of her yard.
"Others, their main concern is property value," she said. "We'll discuss all of those."
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the church, located at 501 S. Kingsway Road in Seffner, between Old Hillsborough Avenue and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
