BRANDON - Dean Hamper is bringing his stuffed filets, marinated shrimp, tuna slabs and veggie kabobs to a new location on West Brandon Boulevard.
This will be Hamper's fourth Land and Sea Market and will mimic his locations in Valrico, Carrollwood and New Tampa.
"The new store will have pretty much everything you see here," he said, standing in the Valrico store near Stein Mart on Lithia-Pinecrest Road. "The main thing is, we have a lot of variety."
That includes 14 types of kabobs, 11 varieties of stuffed chicken breasts, stuffed filet mignon and many side dishes.
The stores have loyal customers, he said.
Many of the products Hamper sells are prepared, ready for the oven and can be cooked in fewer than 30 minutes. "All our products have cooking directions, and if anyone has questions, the staff either knows the answer or finds it."
In addition to offering fresh meats and seafood, said operations manager Rob Chandler, the store's goal is to make shopping convenient for customers. They know when they walk in what they'll get.
In addition to prepared food items, Land and Sea offers imported beers and a small selection of wines to make the market more of a one-stop shopping experience, Hamper said.
He purchased the first Land and Sea Market in Carrollwood about 11 years ago after the Anheuser Busch Brewery in Tampa, where he worked at the time, closed.
"I was looking for another career and thought this would work," he said.
Chandler, who grew up in the Brandon area and is Hamper's son-in-law, helps oversee operations at all locations.
"We've basically gone where the growth takes us," Chandler said. "We followed the growth to New Tampa and to Valrico, and everyone knows what an explosion Brandon has seen.
"The new store on State Road 60 is right in the middle of it."
Hamper said he hopes to have the newest store open in about three weeks.
