SCHOLASTIC ACHIEVERS

EARNED DEGREES: St. Andrew's United Methodist Church announced the following members have earned degrees:

•Jill DeCamp graduated in December from the University of South Florida with a bachelor of science degree in business administration.

•Michael Cummins graduated in December from Florida State University with a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice.

KINDERGARTENERS AVID READERS: BayLife Kindergarten, 1017 Kingsway Road, Brandon. The students in Donna Rininger's class at BayLife Kindergarten read 100 books total in the Scholastic Book Challenge. Scholastic Books, a worldwide publisher of children's books, challenged the 14 5- and 6-year-olds to read 100 books between Nov. 13 and Dec. 31 through their Classroom Care Program.

If they succeeded, 100 books would be given to underprivileged children in the Brandon area. The students reached their goal Dec. 6.
