Dave Matthews In Concert

Live Nation will present the Dave Matthews Band with the contemporary British pop group Gomez in concert at 7 p.m. at the Ford Amphitheatre, 4802 U.S. 301 N., Tampa.

AMC Entertainment is offering $1 tickets for a showing of the feature film "Alvin & The Chipmunks" starring Jason Lee as part of Summer Movie Camp at AMC Regency 20, 2496 E. Brandon Blvd., Brandon.

Doors open at 9 a.m. and the show begins at 10 a.m. The camp will continue Wednesdays through Aug. 6 with $1 tickets for G and PG rated movies.

Lowry Park Zoo Celebrates 20 Years
Lowry Park Zoo is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a series of special events through September.

Programs are included in admission price and free for zoo pass holders.

Guests can enjoy free rides, animal encounters, live entertainment, food and beverages during Summer Safari Night from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and July 25. During Nite Zoo from 5 to 8:30 p.m. July 18, the zoo will stay open late and offer free unlimited rides.

On $5 Day from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. July 20, guests can visit more than 2,000 animals and learn about endangered wildlife for just $5 per person.

The fundraising events will support animal care and education programs at the zoo, 1101 West Sligh Ave., Tampa. Admission is $18.95 for adults, $17.95 for seniors age 60 and older, $14.50 for children 3 to 11 and free for children 2 and younger. For information, call (813) 935-8552.

Summer Concerts Under The Stars

FishHawk Ranch is hosting the community's annual Summer Concert Series at Park Square in the Garden District, 16144 Churchview Drive, Lithia.

The concerts will begin at 7 p.m. every Friday through August. Bring a blanket or chair. This week's performance is The Tremors featuring The Earthquake Horns.

Church Celebrates Christmas In July

Horizon Christian Church will host a Holiday Crafters Market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the main auditorium at 1720 S. St. Cloud Ave., Valrico.

Enjoy the sounds of the season while browsing through 25 tables filled with many hand-made holiday crafts. There also will be fragrant candles, purses, children's screen-print T-shirts and more.

Tuesday Night Jams At O'Toole's Pub

Hot Programs At Local Libraries

Live performances, music, magic, comedy and books that will excite, encourage and entertain even the most reluctant readers are part of the "Wander the Wide World of Reading" summer program at Hillsborough County libraries.

The Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative and the Hillsborough County School District have teamed up to offer activities for students in kindergarten through fifth grade during June, July and August.
