A Family Dollar cashier is accused of bilking the store out of $20,000 cash and $2,000 in merchandise through phony transactions and returns, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
Crismar Navarro-Granados, 26, of Brandon, is charged with felony grand theft and felony organized scheming to defraud. She was released from a county jail this morning after posting $15,000 bail, records show.
According to an affidavit, Navarro-Granados was working at a store at 11110 U.S. 41 S. in Gibsonton from October 2007 through September. A loss-prevention officer for the store reported the thefts, the affidavit states.
A store employee this morning referred all questions about Navarro-Granados' employment to the corporate headquarters.
