Wild Angels To Fly In Concert

Get ready for a night of country music when Live Nation presents Martina McBride, Jack Ingram and Jason Michael Carroll in concert at 6 p.m. at the Ford Amphitheatre, 4802 U.S. 301 N., Tampa.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. Tickets are $54.50, $39.50, and $18.75 for reserved seating. There will be no lawn seating.

Fall Into Autumn At School Festival

If you are pining for a seasonal celebration, head to Alafia Elementary School's fall festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the school, 3535 Culbreath Road, Valrico.

There will be a silent auction featuring signed celebrity memorabilia, rides, games, face painting, a dunk tank, a cake walk and more.

Proceeds will benefit the school's Lunch Bunch program. Food will be available for purchase.

Cost is $10 for 20 tickets that can be used for amusements and games. For information, call (813) 654-1763.

Hot Rods, Classic Cars Showcased At Nationals

The National Street Rod Association will host its 21st Southeast National showcasing 1,600 specialty vehicles from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Florida State Fairgrounds.

More than 100 manufacturers and dealers will sell specialty products, accessories and supplies. There will be arts, crafts and games for children, vintage automobiles, a model car contest and more.

Admission is $14 for adults, $5 for ages 6 to 12 and free for children ages 5 and younger accompanied by an adult.

Parking is $5 for cars and $10 for RVs and buses. Visitors are asked to enter at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard entrance. Call (901) 452-4030 for information or go to www.nsra-usa.com.

Patchwork Of Fun At Harvest Of Quilts

The Piecemakers of Brandon Quilt Guild will present their second annual Harvest of Quilts from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the International Independent Showmen's Association, 6915 Riverview Drive, Riverview. About 90 quilts will be on display.

Also featured at the event will be a U-Pick-It Patch, a boutique, certified quilt appraiser, a small quilt auction, concessions and vendors.

Admission is $5 for one day and $8 for both days. Proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a network supporting breast cancer research, patients and survivors. Visit www.brandonquiltsguild.com for information.

Support For Troops Gets Under Way

The GFWC Brandon Junior Woman's Club has launched its annual Operation Holiday Support to benefit U.S. military troops.

Items to be collected through Nov. 30 include black socks, gel insole heels, shaving gel, wrapped hard candy, pre-package snacks, Advil and Tylenol, mouthwash, over the counter cold and flu tablets, toothpaste, Clorox wipes, inflatable pillows, travel games, cotton swabs, non-reflective sunglasses, lip balm, deodorant, Febreeze, beef jerky, AA batteries, throat lozenges, eye drops, power bars, Pop-Tarts, dryer sheets, peanuts, dried fruit, DVD movies and other nonperishable items.
