A Fashion Show Close To Your Heart

BRANDON - As a part of its Rock, Rib & Ride Festival, the Greater Brandon Community Foundation is planning a Listen to Your Heart Celebrity Fashion Show from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Florida State Fairgrounds Florida Center and Botanical Gardens.

The show is one of five events on tap for the festival Thursday through Sunday. Cyndi Edwards and David Nemeth of WFLA, Channel 8's "Daytime Show" will be hosts. Other Tampa Bay area sports, entertainment and news celebrities will show off the fashions.

Dillard's, Cache and Sacino's at the Westfield Brandon mall will provide the apparel. Macy's will donate cosmetics for the models. Organizers said they also plan to introduce a new line of swimwear by JesAla. Joann Guyardo-Torretta, a well-known fashion show coordinator in the Bay area, is the producer.

"Our guests will enjoy the wonderful celebrity fashion show, a delicious luncheon served by the Boston Culinary Group and gift bags filled with various unique items," said Deg'er Saner, co-chairwoman of the fashion show with Cathy Jimenez. "We have VIP corporate tables of eight available."

Tickets for the event are $100. VIP Corporate Tables cost $1,000. Net proceeds from all Rock, Rib & Ride Festival events will benefit Greater Brandon Community Foundation charities.
