SMALL BUSINESS AWARDS: The Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce 2008 Small Business of the Year Awards Gala will be held Thursday at The Palmetto Club, 17004 Dorman Road, Lithia. A reception begins at 6 p.m., and dinner starts at 7 p.m. Individual tickets are $35; corporate tables of eight cost $350 and include preferred seating, signs and event recognition. SMALL BUSINESS WORKSHOPS: The Hillsborough County Small Business Information Center will host free workshops at the 78th Street Community Library, 7625 Palm River Road, Tampa. AUTO SERVICE CENTER OPENS: Seffner residents Bill and Mary Ann Foelker have opened Express Oil Change and Service Center at 321 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., between Parsons Avenue and Kingsway Road in Seffner. The center offers full maintenance and service and 10-minute drive-through oil changes. Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. For information, call (813) 681-5152.

CHAMBER JOB FAIR: The Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual fall job fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Hillsborough Community College Brandon campus, 10414 E. Columbus Drive, Tampa. The fair is free for all prospective employees. Employer display space costs $125 and includes a covered table, chairs, signs and a boxed lunch.
