Bring Out Your Inner Artist
Brandon Recreational Center, 502 E. Sadie St., Brandon, holds oil and acrylic painting classes from 10 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Thursdays and drawing and charcoal classes from 10-11 a.m. Mondays.

Students must be 16 or older. Supply lists can be picked up at the center.

The cost is $6 for oil and acrylic and classes and $4 for drawing and charcoal classes.

Car Show To Benefit ECHO

The Emergency Care Help Organization and Lifestyle Family Fitness will join forces for their first Charity Car Show to benefit ECHO, which helps the homeless and families in need throughout the Brandon area.

The event will be from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Lifestyle parking lot, 623 Oakfield Drive, Brandon.

The show will include classic cars and new models. All sponsors will be recognized at the show. Registration fee is $15.

'Arty Party' At Winthrop

The Greater Brandon Arts Council will present its third annual Arty Party and membership drive from 7-10 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Winthrop Barn Theatre, 11349 Bloomingdale Ave., Riverview.

The event will feature a silent auction, handmade crafts, music, dance, theatre, visual arts, food and more. Area artists are welcome to attend.

Dig Into Vegetable Seminar

The Hillsborough County Extension Office will host a workshop on vegetable gardening from 9 a.m.-noon Feb. 28 at 5339 County Road 579, Seffner. The event will feature the following times and topics: 9 a.m., Vegetable Gardening 101; 9:30 a.m., Organic Gardening Techniques; 10 a.m., Growing Vegetables in Containers; 10:30 a.m., Pest Management, including demonstrations of gardening techniques.

A Fine Time For Outdoors Expo

The 18th Annual Tampa Tribune Outdoors Expo and Boat Show will be held in the Expo Hall and Sweetbay Entertainment Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds from 1-8 p.m. Feb. 27, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Feb. 28 and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. March 1.

The three-day event will feature fishing and hunting gear, outdoor products, a children's fishing derby and more. There also will be demonstrations and seminars. Parking is $5 for cars and $10 for RVs and buses.

Visitors are asked to enter the fairgrounds at the U.S. 301 North entrance. Call (813) 259-8224 for information and ticket prices.

Wild Game Night In Store

The Brandon Rotary Club will host its 33rd Annual Wild Game Night at 6 p.m. Feb. 27 at Boggy Bottom Ranch at Keysville Road and County Road 39 in Plant City. The event will include exhibits of products by vendors catering to outdoors enthusiasts, door prizes, an auction, hunting and fishing equipment and more.

Proceeds will benefit the Emergency Care Help Organization, Brandon Outreach Clinic and the Rotary's Camp Florida.
