Today
Senior Fun At Fairgrounds
Senior Connection magazine will host a free Senior Fun Fest from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. today and Thursday in the Expo Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. 301 N., Tampa.
There also will be a 1-mile fun walk at 9 a.m. Thursday. Registration and warm-up begin at 8:30 a.m. The first 100 people to register will receive a T-shirt, continental breakfast, walk certificate and goodie bag. Cost is a $4 donation.
The event also will feature free bingo games, health screenings, arts and crafts, a classic car show, photo contests, giveaways, free coffee and doughnuts and more. Recording artists Mary Swan and Marti Carroll will perform music from the 1950s and '60s.
The Tampa Tribune is among the sponsors. Parking costs $5 for cars and $10 for RVs or buses. Visitors are asked to enter the fairgrounds at the U.S. 301 entrance.

Friday
James Otto At Dallas Bull
Country singer and songwriter James Otto will delight fans with his Southern country music. His hit songs include "The Ball," "Long Way Down," "Days of Our Lives" and his most recent single, "Good Ole Days."
The concert will be at the Dallas Bull, 3322 U.S. 301 N., Tampa. Doors open at 7 p.m.

All Weekend
Athletes Compete At Sports Festival
Suncoast Gymnatics Academy will host a sporting event in Expo Hall and Sweetbay Entertainment Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. 301 N., Tampa.
Athletes will participate in competitions, including boys and girl's gymnastics, cheerleading, karate, Tae Kwon Do, dance and rhythmic gymnastics.
The event will be from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $12 for ages 18 and older, $8 for ages 5 to 17, free for ages 4 and younger.
Weekend passes will be available for $17 for adults and $13 for children. Parking costs $5 for cars and $10 for RVs or buses. Visitors are asked to enter the fairgrounds at the U.S. 301 entrance.

Saturday
Enter, Stage Right
The Music Showcase will hold a free introduction to acting from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at 402 Oakfield Drive, Brandon. Classes will teach stage presence, character development, self-awareness, preparation, listening and empathizing skills.
The introduction will be followed by acting classes Tuesdays for 10 weeks beginning Feb. 3. Class times are 6 to 6:45 p.m. for ages 8 to 12, 7 to 8 p.m. for ages 13 and older. Cost is $170 for the 10 weeks.

Beef's Hosts Poker Run
Beef 'O' Brady's restaurants in Brandon, Tampa and Plant City will host a fundraising Poker Run to benefit Mary Beth Kimmell of Brandon, who has been diagnosed with stage-four throat cancer and is in need of treatments.
The event will begin with registration at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at 210 S. Kings Ave., Brandon. Riders of motorcycles, scooters and other vehicles will head out for the other locales at 11 a.m.
The run will cover about 75 miles. Cost is a $15 donation. The first 50 people registered will receive T-shirts. There also will be door prizes and beverages. Call (813) 653-1548.

Classic Car Show To Benefit ECHO
The Emergency Care Help Organization and Lifestyle Family Fitness will join forces for their first Charity Car Show to benefit ECHO, which provides free food and other essentials for people in need.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 21 at Lifestyle's parking lot, 623 Oakfield Drive, Brandon. The show will include old and not-so-old model automobiles. All sponsors will be recognized at the show.
