In Concert At Amphitheatre
Live Nation will present dance and electro pop singer Rihanna in concert at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Ford Amphitheatre, 4802 U.S. 301 N., Tampa.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $45, $35 for reserved seating and $20 for lawn seating.

Visitors are asked to use the entrances at U.S. 301 North or Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Horticulture Careers
The Hillsborough County Cooperative Extension Service will host the 35th Annual Nursery, Landscape and Floriculture Career Development Event from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at 5339 County Road 579, Seffner.

Registration is at 8:30 a.m. Participating students who are members of an agricultural class or 4-H club and have an interest in horticulture are asked to bring a clipboard and No. 2 pencil to participate in a contest.

Lunch and beverages will be provided. Pre-registration is not required. The event is free and open to the public.

Golf Classic At Buckhorn

The Chad Larkins Golf Classic will host a fundraising golf tournament to benefit the NFL Alumni of Tampa Bay - Caring For Kids, a nonprofit organization composed of former NFL players and associate members who volunteer their time for the development of young children and encourage them to turn their dreams into realty through sports.

The event will be held at Buckhorn Springs Golf and Country Club, 2721 S. Miller Road, Valrico. Registration is at 11:30 a.m., and a shotgun start will be at 1 p.m.

FishHawk Hosts Chili Cook-Off
FishHawk Ranch will host its third annual Chili Cook-Off at Park Square. Anyone who can cook chili can compete. The family event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 31 at 16144 Churchview Drive, Lithia.

Cost for participants to enter the contest is $25, $5 for tasters. Call (813) 685-7880.

'Murder On The 19th Hole'

Brandon and Valrico actors will perform in a Murders She Wrote dinner theater presentation of the comedy "Murder On The 19th Hole" at 6 p.m. Saturday at The Grand Hotel, 20967 U.S. 19 N., Clearwater. Performers include Heather Cazzola, Tisha Goble and Pepper McGowan. Tickets are $47.50 and include dinner and the show.

The Fair Comes To Town

Elvis Impersonators, sequin-clad showgirls and choreographed musical performances will bring a taste of Las Vegas to this year's Florida State Fair. Events will include a Las Vegas-style tribute to half-time shows and the national Elvis impersonator competition finals.

Hours are 9 a.m. Feb. 5 to Feb. 16. Closing times vary depending on the day of the week.

Visitors can enjoy an abundance of events, including professional wrestling demonstrations, a roller derby championship and the Country Gold Tour 2009, featuring many popular country singers.

Classic Car Show To Benefit ECHO

The Emergency Care Help Organization and Lifestyle Family Fitness will join forces for the inaugural Charity Car Show to Benefit ECHO, an organization that helps the homeless and families in need throughout the Brandon area.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 21 at Lifestyle's parking lot, 623 Oakfield Drive, Brandon. The show will include old and the not-so-old model automobiles.
