TAMPA - A former Brandon minister was sentenced to seven years in prison today after pleading guilty to three counts of molesting a 12-year-old girl.

Daniel Gomez, 39, former pastor of the Center of Unction Church of the Nazarene, pleaded no contest to a similar charge last month in Pasco County involving the same girl. He also was sentenced to seven years in prison in that case.

Hillsborough Circuit Judge Wayne S. Timmerman agreed Gomez could serve both sentences at the same time.

Gomez pleaded guilty to fondling the girl at his home and at her home from April through November 2005. The girl reported the incidents in November 2007.
