Corks & Forks Has South American Flavor

A date and theme have been selected for Brandon area YMCAs' Corks & Forks wine-tasting event for 2009.

Guests will celebrate the flavors of South America at the 2009 Corks & Forks: Viva Carnivale! to be held poolside Nov. 21 at the Campo Family YMCA. The event will feature wines from Chile, Argentina and other South American countries, as well as delicious food from a selection of local restaurants.

Festivities will include live and silent auctions, with time at several beach condos up for grabs, as well as autographed sports memorabilia, unique gift baskets and more.

Guests will savor the Latin-themed decor and entertainment while mingling on the decks of the Campo Family YMCA's three pools.

A variety of sponsorships and ticket packages are available for businesses and organizations interested in supporting Corks & Forks: Viva Carnivale!

All proceeds will benefit the YMCA's Building Strong Kids Campaign, which helps make YMCA participation possible for children and families in the Brandon area regardless of their financial circumstances.
