Yard Sale Benefits Military Veterans
Looking for some great finds and bargain-basement prices? The Ladies AMVETS Auxiliary Post No. 26 will host its semi-annual yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Items for sale will include clothing, furniture, knick-knacks, books, toys and more. Proceeds will benefit local veterans and their families. The event will be held at 2412 Washington Road, Valrico. Call (813) 299-5181.

Hip Hop Music At Amphitheatre
Live Nation will present the Wild Splash hip-hop music festival beginning at 5 p.m. at the Ford Amphitheatre. Recording artists scheduled to perform will include Busta Rhymes, Soulja Boy, Sean Kingston, Movado and Serani.
The theater is at 4802 U.S. 301 N., Tampa. Gates open at 4 p.m. Tickets are $40 for the pit and $46, $36, $24 and $14 for reserved seating. Lawn seating will be closed. Volunteer For Animal Services
Want to do your part for homeless pets? Hillsborough County Animal Services will hold orientations for residents who wish to join the Volunteer Partnership Program for animals at the county shelter.
Duties will include escorting people interested in adopting pets to a kennel area, photographing animals, assisting veterinarians, helping with special events and walking and socializing animals.
Orientations will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, 10 a.m. April 11 and 5:30 p.m. April 29.
Volunteers must be at least age 16. Candidates will be asked to commit to a minimum of 20 hours of service per month, including weekends.

Club Showcases Coins, Stamps
Numismatists and philatelists, this show's for you. The Brandon Coin Club will present a coin and stamp show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 28. Collectors and more than 35 dealers may buy, sell and trade coins and stamps at the Brandon Elks Lodge, 800 Centennial Lodge Drive, Brandon.
Children 10 and younger will receive a free bag of coins, and adults can win door prizes. Appraisers will be on hand to conduct free appraisals on coin and stamp collections. Call (813) 361-0740.
Country Music, Strings Attached
The Farm in Lithia will host an Inspirational Country Music Party at 7 p.m. March 27 featuring gospel music in a relaxed, country setting.
Bring your guitar, banjo, fiddle or other stringed instruments and join the fun. Visiting Nashville recording artists have been known to drop in. The Farm is at 7818 Lithia-Pinecrest Road, Lithia.
