VALRICO - The public is invited to a free fall festival hosted annually by Valrico State Bank, 1815 State Road 60. The family-friendly event is set for 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 17.

Food and refreshments will be sold "at yesteryear prices," said Jerry Ball, bank president and CEO. Boy Scout troops and other groups who volunteer to staff concession stands may keep the proceeds from the sales of food and drinks donated by U. S. Foodservice, Hungry Howie's Pizza, Applebee's Neighborhood Grill and Bar and Zephyrhills Water.

Free activities on the agenda include pony rides, an old-fashioned train ride, clowns, balloon sculptures, face painting and strolling magicians. The Air K-9 team will treat guests to a dog Frisbee-catching demonstration and Uncle Mike's Hug-N-Farm petting zoo will bring crowd-friendly animals to the mix.

Judy's Dance Academy students from tots to teens will entertain the crowd, and there will be a parade of vintage classic cars.
