Flooring store rolls out the carpet for ladies-only event

Flooring America invites local women to network, socialize and indulge in free food, drinks and pampering services from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The store's second Ladies Night features food catered by The Catering Company, and wine and liquor tastings by Top Shelf Liquor. Complimentary pampering services offered include makeup consultations by a Mary Kay representative and mini massages by Serene Bodyworks. Other vendors offering demos and samples are Candi Collection Jewelry and Precious Stones, Downtown Divas, Ideal Image, Leena's Chocolates, Motif Home Environments, Tampa Bay DJ and Swank Hair Lounge and Nail Bar. There will also be door prizes and giveaways. Admission, food, beverages, product samples and services to the women-only (no children, please) event are free. Event helps nonprofit groups

Macy's annual Shop For A Cause event offers nonprofit groups an opportunity to raise funds for their organizations. The store distributes special shopping passes to participating nonprofits. The groups sell the passes for $5 each and keep 100 percent of the proceeds. Guests who shop with the passes, valid one day only on Saturday, receive all-day storewide savings and special offers for select departments. For information, go to www.macysinc.com/shopforacause.

Free breakfast for kids in PJs

Children 12 and younger dressed in their pajamas can eat breakfast for free from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday at Sweet Tomatoes, 10017 Adamo Drive, Tampa. The breakfast buffet features scrambled eggs, waffles, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, potatoes O'Brien, cinnamon chip biscuits, muffins, make-your-own breakfast burritos, and a salad and soup bar.
