ROTC CADET GRADUATES: Cadets graduating from the Army ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as Operation Warrior Forge, at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash. are:

•Matthew S. McGuire, son of John and DeAnna McGuire of Valrico and a 2006 graduate of Durant High School.

•Devon D. Turner, daughter of Sherinita Rush of Brandon and a 1999 King High School graduate.

NAVY RESERVE SEAMAN COMPLETES TRAINING: Navy Reserve Seaman Recruit Steven M. Overton, a 2007 graduate of Armwood High School, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

AIR FORCE AIRMAN GRADUATES: Air Force Airman Nina H. Nguyen has graduated from the Aviation Resource Management Apprentice Course at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Miss. Nguyen will be assigned to Offutt Air Force Base, Omaha, Neb. She is the daughter of Long P. Nguyen of Riverview. The recently promoted airman is a 2008 graduate of Riverview High School.

DEPLOYED OVERSEAS: Army National Guard Spec. Bobbie B. Donnelly has been mobilized and activated for deployment overseas to a forward operating base in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Donnelly, a military police member, is normally assigned to the 585th Military Police Company, Marysville, Ohio. She has three years of military service. Donnelly is the daughter of Patricia O'Dell of Wesley Chapel. Her stepmother, Debra Bertran, is from Riverview. The specialist is a 2006 graduate of Armwood High School.
