YMCA celebrates 20 years

BRANDON - The Brandon Family YMCA turns 20 this year and, this weekend, the public is invited to help celebrate the milestone in style.

A "Birthday Bash" is set for 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Y, 3097 S. Kingsway Road, Seffner.

Executive director George Sorensen said since its establishment in 1989, the facility has helped Brandon-area residents grow strong in spirit, mind and body.

"We are so appreciative of the support the community has given back to the YMCA," Sorensen said. "We hope everyone will join us for the celebration."

The party will feature free food, games, entertainment and a special commemorative gift for guests while supplies last.
